Rainbow Six: Raven Shield is a first-person tactical shooter game in which the player assumes leadership of a global anti-terrorism team, known as Rainbow. The game offers four multiplayer playing modes, two of which are specially crafted to highlight the distinct gameplay of Raven Shield.
In the 2004 Athena Sword expansion, players once more find themselves in the command seat, undertaking a series of missions across the Mediterranean and the Balkans. The goal is to eradicate and clean up after the terrorists not defeated in Raven Shield.
Downloads 1 and 2 consist of Raven Shield discs, whereas download 3 features an updater to Raven Shield. Downloads 4 and 5 house the Athena Sword expansion pack discs and download 6 provides the no-CD for Raven Shield 1.0.2.
The game is compatible with GameRanger version 1.0+ (AS) but does not support Raven Shield (supports only 1.5.6+). Crossplay is not available on GameRanger.
The following specifications are required to play the game: Mac OS X 10.2.6, 256 MB RAM, 1.9 GB hard drive space, 3D graphics acceleration (ATI Radeon/nVidia GeForce 2 or better), and 32 MB VRAM. The game supports network play for Mac to Mac only.
Athena Sword requires the full version of Raven Shield, PPC G3/G4/G5 733 MHz or faster, Mac OS X 10.2.8, and 3.2 GB hard drive space (including Raven Shield).
